The short version. Downcore is a game. You get a personal licence to play it. Supporter is a one-time purchase that removes ads and adds two skins. Apple takes the payment and Apple handles refunds. Cores, relics and unlocks are game content, not property and not money. Don't cheat the leaderboards. We can't promise the game is perfect, and our liability is limited to what you paid.
By downloading, installing or playing Downcore ("the game", "the app") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the game. These terms work together with our Privacy Policy and with Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, which applies to every app distributed through the App Store.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Downcore on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You are buying access to the game, not the game itself.
You may not:
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to play Downcore. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the game with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. The game contains advertising and an in-app purchase and is not intended for children.
Downcore is free to play. It offers one optional in-app purchase, Downcore Supporter.
Because the purchase is made through the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. Request one through reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal for digital content, apply and are administered by Apple as the seller. We are happy to help you with the process, just write to us, but we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
Cores, relics, events, classes, skins, achievements and every other in-game item are licensed game content, not property. Specifically:
Cores are earned by playing and cannot be bought with real money. There is no premium currency in Downcore.
Downcore submits scores to Apple's Game Center if you are signed in. Leaderboards are operated by Apple and subject to Apple's terms.
You agree not to:
The daily run gives one scoring attempt per UTC day. Supporters may replay the day's seed for practice, but only the first attempt counts towards the leaderboard and the streak. We may report invalid scores to Apple for removal, and Apple may remove them or restrict your Game Center access under their own rules.
Use the game for personal entertainment. Do not use it to break the law, do not attempt to disrupt the services it relies on, and do not attempt to circumvent the in-app purchase or the advertising system.
Downcore, including its code, art, sound, name and logo, is owned by the developer and protected by copyright and trade mark law. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Video and streaming are welcome. You may record, stream and publish gameplay footage of Downcore, including on monetised channels, and you may share the run cards the game generates. Please credit the game by name. This permission does not extend to redistributing the app itself, its assets in isolation, or anything that suggests we endorse or sponsor you.
A very small number of people may experience seizures when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, including in video games. Stop playing and consult a doctor if you experience dizziness, altered vision, disorientation or convulsions. Take a break every so often, play in a well-lit room, and do not play while walking, driving or doing anything that needs your attention.
We may update the game, change or remove features, and eventually stop supporting or distributing it. Parts of the game depend on services we do not control (the App Store, Game Center, the purchase service, the ad network), and those can be interrupted or withdrawn. Downcore is playable offline; leaderboards, purchases and ads are not.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Downcore is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of bugs, or that any defect will be corrected.
Nothing here excludes or limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of your country of residence.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, lost progress, lost profits or loss of in-game items, arising from your use of or inability to use the game.
Our total aggregate liability in connection with the game is limited to the amount you actually paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which for most players is zero and at most the price of Downcore Supporter.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the game, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.
Downcore is distributed through the App Store. As required by Apple, you acknowledge that:
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. We may terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rules, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
